After Cash Money and No Limit, at the same time there was a Grand Hustle and PSC or D4L and Franchize Boyz or Shop Boyz or a Brick Squad, before there was a YSL, there was DVS. Migos was the hottest thing to come out of the Northside or Nawfside as we like to call it. DVS was mostly inspired by Crime Mob; at a time during the Crunk era or when DTP was popular. There's always been healthy competition in the South. DVS was largely overlooked in the city of Atlanta and everywhere else to be exact. DVS got local love, but when it was time to do shows, DVS was like the butt of the joke just like everything else on the Northside until the Migos came. By that time, members of DVS had already fallen out and never learned the business side or how to incorporate ourselves or get money together legally and on a larger scale. Darius Cache was the one to tell the story because I figured people would forget or never know. I always had so much love for where I was from and wanted to represent it right. I never wanted to false claim even though I was born at Grady Memorial which is a City of Atlanta hospital. I never went to an Atlanta Public School so in Atlanta I was from Doraville but everywhere else I was from Atlanta because nobody knew or had heard of Doraville. Being real was all Darius Cache ever cared about. Even when it came to being smart. I was smart but sometimes being smart wasn't cool and for a long time I had a problem dumbing it down. It took a whole lot of drugs, a few ODs, and a bunch of jail and prison time for me to learn how to balance it out. I listened to Tupac more than Laffy Taffy. I learned how to balance out being a thug but not really liking to be one and other times loving it. I needed to blend with motherfuckers in order to learn business and how to handle it. I needed to know how to fix shit without shooting or fighting somebody and learn how to use digital tools and edit instead of always paying somebody and risk getting beat out of my paper for some shitty project or something I just plain didn't like. If I paid for some work and it looked like something I could improve upon I felt cheated, so I just learned how to do shit on my own which took patience. To me that shit took a long time because I was actually living it but other people were like, "How you do that so fast?" Anyway, the story continues. Darius Cache is a product of DVS. That's where I came from. So now it's about time to get some money. So fuck you if you a hater and you stingy because with all these products I’m out here marketing to the culture. If you don't know what that is, it ain't for you anyway.
